It was another good week of fishing, despite the recent cold front earlier in the week. The bass bite still good on reaction baits early, jigs, and drop shot getting bit later in the day. There were several big blue catfish checked in at the marina, the largest tipped the scales at 14.5Ibs. Cut mackerel, and packaged doughbaits were the hot baits for the kitties. Panfish still showing around fishing docks, and rock piles all over the lake. Mini jigs tipped with a mealworm accounted for many crappie, as well as a huge 2.5 bluegill. Shad still around docks early for anyone wanting to dip the baitfish.
