Chad Woods, the founder of Sportfishing Report, combined his passions for fishing and programming to create this platform. A graduate of Crespi High School in Encino, CA, and Southern Methodist University (SMU) with a Finance degree, Chad spent the 1990s as a computer consultant in the music industry. In 2000, he launched Sportfishing Report, which grew to include Nor Cal Fish Reports.
