High 80's low 90's Today and throughout next week. Clear skies, gentle breezes and cooling in the evenings.

Water level has risen approximately 2 feet in the Recreation Area recently, this coupled with the plant yesterday should improve bank fishing significantly. EBMUD has also moved their boathouse back into place near the Launch Ramp which offers some shelter for other fish. Deeper water in the area should also encourage the fish to remain in the immediate area before heading out to the Lake proper. Woodpile still deserves a look, some quick limits still being taken there. White Power Bait, Chartreuse with sparkles, eggs with garlic, orange mouse tails along with night crawlers on a sliding sinker or a half full water bubble all continue to be effective combos thus far for Trout.

Lots of mixed limits of Trout and Kokanee are being caught currently. Specifics about location and lures have become classified information, no one is willing to share. Judging from the information available in the past I'm sure the Kokes are primarily sticking to the central deepest portions of the Lake and River Arm where the water is the coldest this time of year. The South End is more than likely too warm for their liking. Trout are moving about as well and not concentrating but seem to be more plentiful in the upstream regions of the Lake. Trout and Kokanee have been dropping a bit deeper, start in the 30 to 50 foot levels for Trout and lower still for the Kokes. Hoochies, (green and pink) along with the standard beaded spinners, Uncle Larry's pinkies and white/pink hoochies all behind a medium dodger are a good bet. Apex and Sling Blades are getting the nod as well.

Lake Level is currently at 92% of capacity and will remain so for the remainder of the season, that translates to 10 feet below spill and constant. Water temperature is currently 65 degrees at 20 feet and 67 at the surface; clarity is good to 15 feet plus.

Lake Pardee Recreation planted 2000 lbs. of Trout this week bringing the total to 20,000 pounds of fish to date.
