Temperatures forecast to reach the century mark this weekend then cooling towards the middle of the week. Look for some high clouds, gentle breezes and a little cooler in the evenings and overnight.

Only one pair of anglers working the Recreation Area this morning behind the Marina in front of the Maintenance Bldg. They have caught a couple of Rainbows with black surface flies (woolly buggers). The Marina reports bank fishing has been quiet around the Recreation Area since the holiday weekend. The Woodpile was productive during the week with some quick limits caught there from the bank. White Power Bait, Chartreuse with sparkles, eggs with garlic, orange mouse tails along with night crawlers on a sliding sinker or a half full water bubble all continue to be effective combos thus far for Trout.

Kokanee fishing is still good, most are in the 10 to 12 inch range. The Kokes are not sticking to any specific area. They have been showing up in the Narrows, the River Mouth, the Face of the Dam and the South End. Less often in the South End lately, the water temperature may be too warm for their liking! Trout are moving about as well and not concentrating but seem to be more plentiful in the upstream regions of the Lake. Trout and Kokanee have a bit deeper, start in the 30 to 50 foot levels for Trout lower for the Kokes. Hoochies, (green and pink) along with the standard beaded spinners, Uncle Larry's pinkies and white/pink hoochies all behind a medium dodger are a good bet. Apex and Sling Blades are getting the nod as well.

Recent success story: These folks did very well during the week but didn't want so share names, locations, methods or bait. They did however agree to a picture. Congratulations-well done and rest assured your secrets are safe with us!

Presently Lake Level is 18-20 feet below capacity and has been holding. The current water temperature is currently 65 degrees at 20 feet and 67 at the surface; clarity is good to 15 feet plus.

Lake Pardee Recreation recently planted 2000 lbs. of Trout bringing the total to 18,000 pounds of fish to date.
