Temperatures in the high 70s low 80s for the Holiday Weekend and beyond with some high clouds and moderate winds, still cool in the evenings and overnight, ideal conditions.

Some anglers around the Mud Hole and Porcupine Point the Launch Ramp and Stoney Point Landing again this morning. The Marina reports bank fishing was hit and miss during the week. Some Trout and crappie caught around the Recreation Area and the Woodpile. Also some nice catfish have been caught right off Porcupine Point recently. Red worms are the bait of choice for the crappie. White Power Bait, Chartreuse with sparkles, eggs with garlic, orange mouse tails along with night crawlers on a sliding sinker or a half full water bubble all continue to be effective combos thus far for Trout.

Trollers continue to have success landing Kokanee starting just outside the Narrows working the center of the Lake to the River Mouth and back again. They are also picking up some Trout in the same locations. Saw a few boaters working the face of the dam and the River Mouth as well this morning. No news of any activity in the South End last week. Trout and Kokanee are a bit deeper, start in the 30 to 50 foot levels. Hoochies, (green and pink) along with the standard beaded spinners, Uncle Larry's pinkies and white/pink hoochies all behind a medium dodger are a good bet. Sounds like the Red needle fish continue to work well worth a try as well.

Recent success story: Monique Wilson of San Jose caught this 5.6 lb. Large Mouth using night crawlers right off Tom Sawyer Island. Congratulations Monique-well done!!!

Presently Lake Level is 18-20 feet below capacity and has been fluctuating and holding. The current water temperature is currently 52 degrees at 20 feet and 56 at the surface; clarity is good to 15 feet plus.

Look for a plant this weekend! Lake Pardee Recreation has planted another 2000 lbs. bringing the total to 16,000 pounds of fish to date.
