Kaweah dropped to 90 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was solid for spotted bass. Anglers used finesse baits in 5 to 25 feet of water with Green Pumpkin, Ox Blood, and Watermelon all taking fish. Rocky areas, secondary points, and steep walls held biting fish. Topwater reports have been increasing for anglers using poppers and walking baits. Crappie anglers did well with small swimbaits and live minnows near Horse Creek. Catfish anglers soaked chicken liver and cut baits for decent results.
