Naci fell to 81 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was excellent. Topwater action has been great for spotted and white bass with fish taking walking baits, poppers, and Whopper Ploppers. Spotted bass anglers also used a variety of finesse baits and Senkos to fool fish. Crankbaits, jerkbaits, and small swimbaits on an underspin worked for bites as well. White bass were taken with spoons and in line spinners after anglers located biting schools. Crappie readily ate small live minnows and minijigs in 10 to 20 feet of water, and catfish picked up cut mackerel and triple S dip bait.
