Buena Vista Lakes provided decent fishing for all species last week

Buena Vista Lakes provided decent fishing for all species last week with bass, catfish, and sunfish all taking the bait. Bass anglers used finesse Roboworms in Aaron’s Magic, and Margarita Mutilator. Wacky rigged weightless Senko style baits in Green Pumpkin fooled bass as well. Topwater frogs and buzz baits got bitten during low light conditions. Catfish ate cut baits, chicken liver, and dip bait, and bluegill fell for any live worm under a bobber. Crappie anglers used small live minnows and minijigs to fool crappie over submerged structure.

Lake Success: The lake held near 75 percent of capacity and anglers reported decent fishing
River Walk Lakes: Bluegill remain the best bet here
Ming Lake: The bass bite has been fair to good in the early morning and late afternoon

Hart Park Lake: Hart Park has been a good local spot for bass anglers
