The flows in the Upper Kern have settled back down from Tropical Storm Hillary. Native and stocked trout have been coming from the 20-mile stretch. Trout have been coming on Get Bent Baits, salmon eggs, crickets, spinners, and worms. The Upper Kern River is scheduled to be stocked next week in Section 4, Powerhouse #3 to Riverside Park in Kernville; Section 5, Fairview Dam to Lazy River Lodge; and Section 6, Fairview Dam to Johnsondale Bridge. The South Fork Kern was stocked last week and is scheduled to be stocked again next week. In the Lower Kern, Bass have been coming on small plastics and spinnerbaits. At the time of reporting, the Upper Kern River was flowing at 917 CFS and the Lower Kern River was flowing at 3368 CFS.

Lake Kaweah: The lake fell to 59 percent of capacity and fishing remained good
Lake Success: The lake held near 75 percent of capacity and anglers reported decent fishing
River Walk Lakes: Bluegill remain the best bet here
Ming Lake: The bass bite has been fair to good in the early morning and late afternoon
Buena Vista Lakes: Anglers reported good fishing for all species at BV
Hart Park Lake: Hart Park has been a good local spot for bass anglers
Lake Nacimiento: Naci fell to 73 percent of capacity, and fishing remained decent
