Lake Nacimiento fell to 89 percent of capacity, and spotted bass anglers reported a decent finesse bite. Ned rigs, darter head grubs, and Carolina rigs worked for bites in 10 to 25 feet of water with Aaron’s Magic, Natural Shad, and Green Pumpkin fooling fish. Keitechs on a ball head jig also scored bites for anglers slow rolling them along the bottom. White bass have been boiling sporadically throughout the lake and anglers have done well trolling small white swimbaits, in-line spinners, and spoons. Topwater worked well in the boils as well. Crappie took small live minnows over submerged brush, and anglers used their electronics to locate biting schools. Catfish anglers used chicken liver and dip bait to fool whisker fish.
