Bass anglers continue to take advantage of the full lake

Lake Success held at about 88 percent of capacity, and bass anglers continue to take advantage of the full lake. Many of the largemouth have been biting in the newly submerged trees and bushes, and anglers used jigs, stick baits, and reaction baits to pull out fish to five pounds. Some anglers reported scoring fish on topwater walking baits at sunrise, and crankbaits have been responsible for some of the bigger bass as well. Crappie anglers did well with small live minnows and minijigs over submerged brush near the Tule River inlet, and catfish ate cut sardines, fresh shrimp, and dip bait.
