The lake remained at 90 percent of capacity, and fishing has been steady. For bass anglers there has been a morning topwater bite followed by good finesse fishing. Spotted bass went for walking baits and Whopper Ploppers until about 9am. After that drop shot, Ned rigs, and darter head grubs all scored bites in 5 to 20 feet of water. White bass took small swimbaits and spoons on the troll or cast to breaking fish. Crappie ate minijigs and small live minnows over submerged cover, and catfish slurped up dip bait, cut sardines, and garlic scented nightcrawlers.
