Trout Fishing
The trout bite is still on use the sliding sinker rig and night crawlers or power-bait works good also. Using a lure is also working well right now fish with a fire-tiger kast-master or rapala J-7. The pines has been a good spot for trout the last 2 weeks.
Catfishing
Fishing for catfish is best by the boat launch. There is a lot of catfish that seem to be hungry. Many catfish are being caught by trout fishermen. To increase chance of catching a catfish use stinky bait like chicken livers or anchovies.
Bass Fishing
The bite is still on for the bass fishermen. Top spots are the Rock wall, Sather Canyon and near the Main Rec. Throw shad colored spinner baits or drop shot robo worms.
Surface Temp: 65F
Fish Plant: 1200 lbs of Mt Lassen Rainbows planted at the Launch on 6/17/15. Dept of fish and wildlife also planted 1500 lbs of trout at the boat launch on 6/18/15.
Azmach Ejersa of Emeryville caught 2 trout largest weighing 9.5 lbs at the pines on Thursday 6/ 18/ 15.
Trenton Taylor of Oakland caught 2 trout the largest weighing 4.73 lbs using powerbait at the pines on Saturday 6-20-15.
Jaiylen Maher of Oakhurst caught his first trout weighing 1.96le using Garlic power-bait at Sandy Point on Saturday 6-20-15.

Derby
The Main Rec is holds a monthly trout derby. The largest three trout weight in for that month get prizes. lt $5 to enter the derby. You must buy your ticket before fishing that day.Park Information
The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours during June being 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and boats need to be off the water by 7:00 pm. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available.
