Trout Fishing
Use the sliding sinker rig and night crawlers or powerbait works good also. Using a lure is also working well right now fish with a fire-tiger kast-master or rapala J-7.

Catfishing
Fishing for catfish is best by the boat launch. There is a lot of catfish that seem to be hungry. Many catfish are being caught by trout fishermen. To increase chance of catching a catfish use stinky bait like chicken livers or anchovies.

Bass Fishing
The bite is still on for the bass fishermen. Top spots are the Rock wall, Sather Canyon and near the Main Rec. Throw shad colored spinner baits or drop shot robo worms.

Thomas no last name given caught 2 catfish weighing 4 and 6.5 lbs using shrimp in Scow Canyon on Monday 6-8-15.

Lip Rippa (Nick Name) and friend from Fremont caught 10 catfish largest weighing 18le using large crawlers and Rainbow Power-bait in Scow canyon on Monday 6-8-15.

David Ulloa of Chicago caught 2 catfish the largest weighing 12.9 lbs using chicken livers at the Berkeley tower on Wednesday 6-10-15.

Lip Rippa (Nickname) and Friends from Fremont caught 15 catfish weight of the largest 22le using large crawlers and rainbow garlic power-bait in scow canyon on Wednesday 6-10-15.

Edwin Bote caught 1 catfish weighing 6.0 lbs using night-crawlers at the boat launch on Saturday 6-13-15.

Derby

The Main Rec is holds a monthly trout derby. The largest three trout weight in for that month get prizes. It $5 to enter the derby. You must buy your ticket before fishing that day.

Park Information

The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours duringJurfi being 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and boats need to be off the water by 7:00 pm. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available. The Café is also open 6 days of the week from 9:00 - 3:30 so visitors can get some delicious food.
