Trout Fishing : Fishing for trout is at Sandy Point and the Main Rec I have also seen a lot of Anglers fishing at the Oaks and the Launch since we started planting down there Fish power-bait or night crawlers off the bottom. Trolling has been slow lately.
Catfishing : Fishing for catfish is best by the boat launch. There is a lot of catfish that seem to be hungry. Many catfish are being caught by trout fishermen. To increase chance of ctaching a catfish use stinky bait like chicken livers or anchovies.
Bass Fishing : The bite is still on for bass fishermen. Top spots are the Rock wall, Sather Canyon and near the Main Rec. Throw shad colored spinner baits or drop shot worms.
Lake Level: 288.6
Surface temp: 66F
Fish Plant: 600 lbs of Rainbow and 600lbs of lighting Trout from Mt. Lassen were planted at the launch on 4-8-15.
