The rains last weekend left the lake banks still a bit muddy in spots. Top lining was reported by trout anglers with they're choice of baits jigs and power worms.
Main lake undisclosed locations were great for bass this week. Drop shot with green black flake zoom thick worms, 6" purple worms and senko red sparkle worms were all reported for bass.
11 year old Donovan Henry was fishing with his dad, Mike when he set his bait on the biggest bass of the new year. Henry was using a 6" purple worm and believe it or not on a 6 lb. test line! Donovan and his dad were fishing about ...12' down around 2:00 pm on 2/5/15 Thursday afternoon. This was a team effort as Donovan needed a bit of help from his dad to reel this monster in.
Lake Camanche's current elevation is 185.83 as of 2/9/15. Water temperature at the launch ramp is approximately 53 degrees and the lake is 31% full. The inflow from Lake Pardee is currently 11 c.s.f. and the outflow from Lake Camanche is currently 226 c.s.f. The flows into Camanche currently vary from 11 cfs to 800 cfs. This is because when they are generating electricity from Pardee the flow is increased from the baseline 11 cfs at this time they are turning on two of the three generating units periodically during the week. Each unit can deliver 400 cfs, thus the 11-800 cfs range.
