Look for century mark temperatures by the weekend and high 90's during the week. You can also expect some high clouds and gentle breezes during the day but still cooler overnight. Pardee Lake water level is presently at 93% capacity (within 5 foot of spill) with ALL launch ramp facilities and Park services available.
Once again it's been slow for bank fishermen in the Recreation Area most of last week. I could only see a couple of diehard anglers wetting lines at Blue Herron Point this morning no one else visible in the entire Recreation Area. According to recent information sounds like the Woodpile has been hit and miss lately as well with some doing well and others not. No real quick limits but still the best producing location lately. Power Bait, Chartreuse with sparkles, eggs with garlic, orange mouse tails along with night crawlers on a sliding sinker or a half full water bubble all continue to be effective combos thus far for Trout.
Trolling continues to be the fishing highlight. Mixed limits of Trout and Kokanee are common for Trollers. Areas and methods remain unchanged. Most boats are working the deeper center sections of the Lake from the Narrows to the South End intake area and from the face of the Dam to the Rock Wall and further upstream. Kokanee have gone a bit deeper since last report to the 60-70 foot level. Trout have become elusive and harder to locate. Hoochies, (green and pink) along with the standard beaded spinners, Uncle Larry's pinkies and white/pink hoochies all behind a medium dodger are a good bet. Apex and Sling Blades are getting the nod as well for Kokes. Those Trout caught lately have been partial to needle fish, primarily reds and tiger patterns.
The warming trends have brought out some nice catfish, check the coves from Mel's all the way down to Rattlesnake. Power bait, night crawlers, Vienna sausage are all popular with our whiskered friends.
Lake Level is currently at 93% of capacity and holding. Water temperature is currently 65 degrees at 20 feet and 67 at the surface; clarity is good to 15 feet plus.
Lake Pardee Recreation has planted a total of 20,000 pounds of fish to date and has scheduled another plant for the latter part of next week.

Pardee ReservoirHigh 80's low 90's Today and throughout next week. Clear skies, gentle breezes and cooling in the evenings. Water level has risen approximately 2 feet in the Recreation Area recently, this coupled with the plant yesterday should improve bank fishing significantly. EBMUD has also moved their boathouse back into place near the Launch Ramp which offers some shelter for other fish. Deeper water in the area should also encourage the fish to remain in the immediate area before heading out to...... Read More
