FISHING REPORT
Summer temperatures have trout down 35+/- feet deep and most anglers seem to be bringing in bass or catfish. Hat Island seemed to be a particularly popular fishing spot this week as most anglers reported catching both bass and catfish around that location. Night crawlers are definitely the bait of choice for bass right now while power baits are the choice for catfish.
10 year old Erin Vian had quite a bit of luck this week. On Wednesday he caught a stringer of 5 catfish with his friend Reid. A few days later he came back to catch an 8.69 lb. bass!
Andrew of Valley Springs and friend David of San Andreas had some great luck out near Hat Island this Sunday. Andrew caught a 4.39 lbs trout and David caught a 4.74 lbs one.
Randy McNabb of Valley Springs had some luck this week and caught a 4.94 lbs catfish using worms.
Aarion Hudson had similar luck and brought in a 4.49 lbs catfish with worms as well.
David Irmini of Salinas was loving North Shore and brought in 6.29 lbs and 5.8 lbs. catfish this week.
