Marina Hours: 6:00 am to 8:00 pm
Park Hours: 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Last Plant: On March 14, 2013 750 lbs. of Trout from Mt. Lassen were planted.
Water Temperature: 65 Degrees at the Dock
Water Clarity: The water clarity is improving to 10 to 15 ft. vertically.
The Bass bite is "On Fire" just coming off the spawn. Rat-L-Traps, jigs, Robo Worms, Sinko's and Crank bates are all effective. The Smallmouth is just coming off the spawn as well. The smallies are hitting Crank baits and Spoons. The Stripers are hitting Anchovies, Chicken liver and Rapalas.
Catfish are starting to come out of their winter hibernation. They are hitting Peruvian Anchovies, Sardines, Mackerel and Chicken liver. The hot bait lately has been nightcrawlers.
Crappie have been active in the Toulies at the banks. They are hitting little grubs and shiny Lures. Two Catfish were caught weighing in at 18 lbs. & 14 lbs. The shad are also spawning. Large bait balls have been spotted in many areas along the shoreline. It has been quite a show to watchand quite the feast for the Bass below them. So using shad lures will also work for the Bass.
