The bridge was a HOT SPOT for CATS this past week using frozen fish bait or Nightcrawlers. Shawn Sanchez caught 2 Cats, his largest weighed in at 8 lb. 4 oz. on Sat. and a 6 lb. 8 oz. on Sunday. Shawn used Mackarel and Nightcrawlers for bait. David Soto used worms by the bridge to catch his Catfish at 6 lb. 4 oz. Another bridge catch was by Mike & Tyler using frozen bait, they netted a 6 pound Catfish. Carlos Otero of Sacramento caught the Biggest Cat of the week, a 9 pound monster using a minnow from the shoreline down towards the dam. Kaylo Noller also hooked a Catfish by the dam using a worm.

The Trout were on the bite this week thanks to the cooler evenings and temperatures in the 90's. Steve & Toula Giranis started out with a nice stringer of 4 trout, nothing really big but perfect pan size trout. Next day they caught another stringer topping out with a 3 lb. 4 oz. Rainbow. Two days later Steve outdid himself with a 6 lb. 8 oz. Monster Trout and all were caught trolling Cripplures on this side of the lake. A Blue "tagged" Trout was picked up in Elmer's Cove by Steve Muzinich trolling a Sep's lure and it weighed 4 lb. 8 oz. Sarah & Ian Wix each caught 2 Rainbows trolling lead core line and a lure.

Although the majority of the Trout catches were caught by trollers, there was one couple that defied all odds and caught a Rainbow from shore near the dam. Lamar & Jennifer from Lincoln used gold Powerbait and brought up a 5 lb. 4 oz. Trout. Rebecca Strong caught the only Bass brought up for a photo this week, it was a young one about 1-1/4 lbs.
