This week there was lots of fishing derbies going on within individual families. Grandma Carol Cecil's grandkids really rose to the occasion. She must have had some terrific prizes for them because they worked hard. Nick, Connor, Jake, Corey, Marissa and Jake all participated. They caught lots of trout, all up in the north end either on Powerbait or worms. Katie outdid herself when she hooked "and netted" a 4 lb. 12 oz. German Brown. She had already caught a Rainbow, a Bass, and A Bluegill that week! The Smith Family went absolutely "Crazy on Crappie" this week. They caught 25 Crappie and 7 Trout all up by the bridge on their "secret bait".

Steve Bogart & John English used Mackrel on the east side of the lake and brought up 3 nice Catfish, weighing in at 6 lb. 4 oz., 5 lb. 8 oz. and 5 pounds even. Richard Plise broke his record when he caught his 1st Fish this year, a whopping 6 lb. Catfish in Elmer's Cove using a Nightcrawler. Mariah & Mani Bal of Martinez took home 6 Rainbows which they caught on worms by the bridge. Nate Fleece, Austin Simpson, Nathan & Trevor all caught Trout off the dock using worms.

John, Josh, and Hannah Herrera caught trout by the bridge and a 6 lb. 8 oz. Catfish by the bridge, all on worms. Chad & Alex netted a 5 lb. 6 oz. Catfish right in front of their campsite and so did Mitchell whose fish weighed 2 lb. 12 oz. They all used Nightcrawlers for bait, which by the way is still "Top Dog" bait of choice.

Jake & Tony Floriolli ended their camping trip with 2 lb. 8 oz. Catfish and a nice Bass too! But of course, they were using Nightcrawlers!!
