The story this week at Del Valle Lake is water clarity -- which is severely stained. The water level is coming up. Anglers are having the best luck right now catching Trout and Catfish. The trout are hitting PowerBait, egg/worm combos, Panther Martins, mouse tails and Rat-l-Traps.

Bass are starting to hit bright colored jigs with colored jigs and colored trailers and Rat-l-Traps. The Catfish are hitting anything that stinks. Anchovies and Mackerel have been working the best. Black Bass are hitting jigs and swimbait. Smallmouth bass have yet to be found.
