Fishing Report:
Fishing in general, has been better on weekdays as opposed to weekends as there are less people in the park and in the water. We've had a few reports from anglers catching limits of trout over by the Lancha Plana bridge. Fish were found about 30 feet down. 3 anglers caught their limits with each fish about 2-3 lbs.

There has also been successful limits being caught by trolling towards the dam about 40 feet down using Chartreuse power bait. Local resident, Ron Berhorst, caught a limit of trout using green power bait in the East Cove (aka Houseboat Cove).

We had some bass anglers fishing the peninsula off the day use area using sinkos with one angler catching a 5.5 pounder. We had a report of 6-7 lb catfish being caught at an undisclosed location while using fresh chicken liver.

HINT:
Fresh chicken liver holds on the hook better than the frozen variety which tends to get mushy upon thawing.
