Wow!! mid May and it is what we have been waiting for. The bite is red hot!! Although there is mostly post spawn bass now, it is great to get a lot of bass each trip out. 75-100 fish days are here and if you want lots of action this is the time.

Top water action is starting, reaction baits are working, blades, any type of worm, senko, tube, drop shot will produce. Water temps are now into the 70's in places and Lake Oroville is only 1-1/2 feet from the top. The After Bay is also producing as well as Bullards Bar which is a little colder but as full. Oroville Lake is heating up in water temp and action as the water level is now only 15 1/2 feet from full pool.
