Oroville Lake is heating up in water temp and action as the water level is now only 15 1/2 feet from full pool. The last weeks heat wave made a great impact on the bass as they have moved from the staging areas outside the coves and walls into the flats and coves. The banks were loading up all weekend and it took a couple of days for the bass to settle down and are now feeding and preparing for their spawn.
I had clients yesterday pull some females off shallows that were already dropping eggs. You can look for greater numbers of bass as the temps warm up. The average temp now on the lake run between 62-68 degrees. For more information or to book a trip call Ron Gandolfi
