Lake Oroville is HOT with the water warming up to 60-64 degrees and the full moon this weekend and the warmer temps and now with the lake at only 3 feet from the top, the bite is wide open. We have been getting huge numbers of bass, Sat. around 100 + up 2 1/2 lbs. Lots of males but lots of females as well. The sizes have dropped a bit because of the spawn but not all have done their duty yet.
The bite is on in all forks of the lake but in some areas better than others. Almost anything is working; tubes, worms, senkos, swim baits, blades, jigs, drop shot and crank baits.
Also this week, Bullards Bar is fishing better now with a lot of small fish but the larger bass are showing up as well. We had 6 over 4 lbs with are best 5 going close to 25 lbs. Senkos on worm head jigs and senkos wacky were the baits of choice.. Bullards Bar is also 3 ft. from the top and also at 60 degrees.

The banks were loading up all weekend and it took a couple of days for the bass to settle down and are now feeding and...... Read More
