Partly cloudy today, mild breezes with temps in the mid the 70's

The Lake continues to spill but not at the volume of the last two weeks, this may change as the warming temperatures melt the snow pack. Lake is still full to the tree line. Recent rains have again decreased the Lake clarity but it's a bit better than last report, look for good visibility in the 8 to 10 foot range. Water temps remain the same as last report and are 52 degrees at 20'and 56 degrees at surface as measured in the Marina.

Lots more bank fishermen here this morning due to better weather. The Marina reports bank fishing has been great all week. Trout from the last plant are holding longer in the Recreation area so anglers are doing well longer. Hot spots are the same-the EBMUD boathouse, Launch Ramp, TomSawyerIsland, the banks on either side of the Marina gangway and Rainbow Point. Kastmasters have been the bomb, silver/blue and silver/chartreuse  ? oz size. The sliding sinker set up is best with white power eggs, chartreuse garlic flavored Power Bait with sparkles and dark green Power Bait.

Trollers are concentrating on the River Mouth and up River to Indian Rock. The Kokanee are congregating very close to the surface in the first 10 ft. Kokanee fishing still good and they continue to favor Apex lures tipped with scented shoe peg corn, Uncle Larry's fire tiger and copper pops behind a small dodger. Kokes to 14 inches have been showing up on a regular basis. Trout are also active in the same region but a bit deeper at 20 feet and they prefer Uncle Larry's lures with worms and or corn. Large German Browns were also caught last week in the River Mouth near the Rock Wall. Mid-size broken back fire tiger and trout minnow Rapalas behind a silver/green dodger at 10 to 20 feet have been getting it done!

Bass fishing has also been good lately along submerged structure and rocky outcroppings; swim baits have been very effective.

Lake Pardee Lake Recreation has planted 38,800 lbs in combination with The California Dept of Fish and Game plants of 6,200 lb for a grand total of 45,000 lbs of Rainbow Trout.
