Nacimiento Lake held at 53 percent of its storage capacity and fishing has been good. Bass anglers found biters in 15 to 40 feet of water using finesse techniques. Drop shot, Ned rigs, and jigs in ox blood, baitfish, and Aaron’s Magic have been working the best in the afternoons. Vertical spoons took multiple species when anglers found fish holding near shad schools in deeper water. Catfish ate cut mackerel, sardines, and dip bait.
