Kaweah rose to 18 percent of its storage capacity, and the bass bite was fair for most anglers. Some local anglers have figured out the winter bite, but they have been tight lipped with the details. The best action was found out deep on finesse baits, jigs, and spoons. A slow presentation has been the key to scoring bites with drop shot and Ned rigs Catfish anglers used dip bait and chicken liver to land whisker fish, and there were crappie reported in Horse Creek. The last trout plant was scheduled the week of December 8th.
