The lake has been steady at 53 percent of the it’s storage capacity, and surface water temperatures remained in the mid to upper fifties. Anglers reported an improved bite with decent numbers of spotted bass and largemouth taking finesse baits. Ned rigs and Carolina rigged Roboworms in brown or purple took plenty of fish. Underspins rigged with a Keitech trailer and slow rolled along the bottom got grabs as well. Vertical spooning has also been effective for a few fish. White bass took Kastmasters and small white lipless crankbaits. Catfish reports were on the slow side, and crappie ate small live minnows in deeper water.
