Kaweah has been falling rapidly, and it’s currently sitting at 35 percent of capacity. Fishing has been on the tough side with the rapidly falling water, but some local anglers reported doing well on main lake points and over submerged rock piles. Topwater has been fooling a few largemouth early in the day, and drop shot, stick baits, and jigs have been working for bites later in the day. Catfish anglers reported fooling whisker-fish with cut sardines and dip bait, and crappie took small live shiners over submerged rocks.

Lake Kaweah: Kaweah Lake fell to 35 percent of capacity, and spotted bass anglers reported fair to good fishing
Lake Success: Lake Success fell to 69 percent of capacity and fishing has been fair
River Walk Lakes: At Riverwalk the fishing has improved since the drought
Ming Lake: At Ming, the bass bite has improved a bit
Buena Vista Lakes: Anglers reported decent fishing at BV
Hart Park Lake: The good fishing at Hart Park continued last week
Lake Nacimiento: The lake fell to 67 percent of capacity, and bass anglers reported fair to decent fishing
