Isabella fell to 69 percent of capacity this week. The Bass fishing has been in their summer pattern for some time. There is a lot of bait all over Isabella. The water temps are in the 70’s and visibility is 3 to 4-feet. Bass have been coming on topwater, jerkbaits and flukes during the early morning hours. Texas rigged and dropshotting worms in green pumpkin/purple in 12 to 20-feet of water have been fooling bass. The trout fishing remains excellent here at the North Fork and around the dam. Our contacts reported trout coming on Kastmasters, Thomas Bouyants, Powerbait doused in Garlic, Flicker shad and spoons. The crappie action is steady near structure around the South Fork. Crappie were caught in 15 to 20-feet of water with minijigs, bass assassins tipped with nibbles and live minnows. Anglers have been finding whiskerfish around Camp 9 and French Gulch with SSS Dip Bait, mackerel, and shad.

Ming Lake: At Ming, the bass bite has improved a bit
Buena Vista Lakes: Anglers reported decent fishing at BV
