The lake held near 90 percent of capacity, and water temperatures have been falling. Topwater poppers, walking baits, and Whopper Ploppers all worked to fool both bass and striper until about 8am. After that bass anglers reported fooling large and smallmouth on small finesse baits. 4” worms and grubs on the drop shot or Ned rig scored up to 10 fish for some anglers with main lake points producing the best. Striped bass fell for cut baits and trolled umbrella rigs in the usual striper spots around the lake. Catfish anglers clobbered them at the inlet on chicken liver, dip bait, and cut sardines. Occasionally striped bass took those same baits.
