The lake rose to 36 percent of capacity, and bass fishing has been good. Anglers used a variety of techniques to fool the spawning bass. Senkos, drop shot, Texas rigged lizards, and jigs worked in 5 to 25 feet of water, and crankbaits and small swimbaits got bite along points and flats. Crappie ate small live minnows and minijigs tipped with crappie nibbles in the marina. Whiskerfish slurped up chicken liver, dip bait, and garlic scented nightcrawlers.
