The lake rose to 27 percent of capacity, and bass anglers reported better fishing. Many of the small bass have been cursing the shorelines, and bigger bass fell for jigs and creature baits while staging for the spawn. Drop shot, Ned rigs, and Senkos worked for the smaller bass in 5 to 20 feet of water. Crankbaits also scored bites. Trout anglers fed fish Power Bait, Gen Bent Minijigs, and nightcrawlers, and Catfish anglers used cut baits and dip bait to fool fish. Crappie were reported near the marina by anglers using minijigs and small live minnows.
