Well what we thought was going to happen really didn't. We saw a small shot of fish last week and hoped that there were more to follow. Fishing here on the Smith has been slow. So I am gone. HAppy New Year Steelhead fishermen, Well so far the fishing on the Smith has been tough for the Steelies. It is one here and maybe one there. Don't believe the gauges! Sat we left and the river was 17.5 at the 101 bridge and at the Forks the water was running over the gravel bar. It was actually closer to 19+. The river was giant. Hello Steelie Fans, Well the fishing here on the Smith has been fair. I have been getting 1 to 2 fish a day and hooking as many as 5. It is not that great, but there has not been anybody here.
