As for Whiskeytown, when I drive by there I rarely see more than a few boats on this huge impoundment. Rumors have it that some big bass inhabit Whiskeytown but where are the photos? Kokanee trout are the big attractions here and they are feisty but let's face it, they don't try to yank your arms off. If this lake was really producing, there would be anglers and boats all over the place. No one takes the time to really put it to the test except perhaps Gary Miralles of the Shasta Tackle Company who makes Kokanee terminal tackle. Maybe I'm wrong. If so, I hope some of you readers set me straight.
