Trout Fishing

Fishing for trout is best at Sandy Point and the Main Rec I have also seen a lot of Anglers fishing at the Oaks and the Launch since we started planting down there Fish power-bait or night crawlers off the bottom. Trolling was good between the Main Rec and the launch on the right hand side using 1/2 ounce weight and letting your line out about 75ft.

Catfishing

Fishing for catfish is the best by the boat launch. There is a lot of catfish that seem to be hungry. Many catfish are being caught by trout fishermen. To increase chance of catching a catfish use stinky bait like chicken livers or anchovies.

Bass Fishing

The bite is still on for the bass fishermen. Top spots are the Rock wall, Sather Canyon and near the Main Rec. Throw shad colored spinner baits or drop shot robo worms.

Fish Plant: 1200 lbs of Mt. Lassen lightning trout were planted on 4/21/2015 down at the launch.

Fish Tales

Sammy and Joseph Hannon from Concord, Ca caught 4 trouts on Sunday 4-19-15 soaking power bait at the main rec.

Rogan Joshan from Martinez caught 1 trout weighing 9.47 on Sunday 4-19-2015 using a power worm at Sandy Point.

Mel and Anne Bitas from Pinole caught 7 bassusing crappie jigs in Scow Canyon, weight of the stringer 21.56 the largest weighing 4.11 on Sunday 4-19-2015
