Pit #3 producing trout

Pit River - CA (Modoc County)

by Nor Cal Fish Reports
3-25-2015

Fishing has been good along Pit #3. Pit #4 and #5 haven't been fished all that much over the past week, or at least we haven't received any reports, but the rainbows are there, eating nymphs like Mercer's Poxyback Dark Stone, Pheasant Tail Nymphs, Red Copper Johns. Use a lot of split shot, get the nymphs down fast. Fish the pockets, shoots, creases. High-stick and short-line technique is the best approach. The Fly Shop (530) 222-3555
