Lower Sacramento River Fish Report

Sacramento River - Lower - Redding, CA (Shasta County)

by Nor Cal Fish Reports
3-5-2014

Releases out of Keswick Reservoir are around 2,707 CFS. That's low. The rains have turned the waters of the river here in Redding to a stained brown. Visibility is around 4 feet. Not bad. The dry fly fishing hasn't been all that great. If the river clears a little that could change. For now, anglers throwing #4-6 rubber legs, yellow eggs, zug bugs, super flash PTs are producing seriously big, fat, plump, chubby, portly, paunchy, plus-sized rainbows...The Fly Shop (530) 222-3555
