Haley Shade of San Ramon started this last fishing week off with a BANG!! She landed a "near limit" of 4 trout. Her stringer consisted of 3 Rainbows and a German Brown Trout and her method was trolling either a Wedding Ring or Kastmaster in the channel at 40 feet down. This is what we have been told is working and Haley proved that true as well. Another "trolling tip" is troll slow, as slow as you can go. Randy Bankord, Dario, and Debbie of Pacifica brought up a 6 lb. 15 oz. Catfish and entered it into the 50/50 Derby and took the prize for their big CAT. Randy said he fished in Elmer's Cove and used Nightcrawlers for bait. Dario also caught a gorgeous 3 lb. 8 oz. Rainbow and a German Brown in the middle of the lake he said. A 2 lb. Trout was also caught by Haley Shade on her 2nd day of camping and she trolled a Silver Spoon.

Daniel Duenas caught a Bluegill by the dam on worms and Tanner Perris did too. Nathan & Grant Miyachi of Oregon House used live crawdad's and fished with Uncle Robbie near the dock and landed a Bass. Sean Stoney of Redwood City fished near the bridge with Nightcrawlers and netted a Catfish.

These were the only catches reported to us this week, it was a warm week and most people chose swimming over fishing for obvious reasons. The lake is low, and there are many islands showing so boaters need to stay away from that side of the lake completely unless they are still fishing. There are some buoys floating out there marking some of these shallow areas but without stringing a line between them it is impossible to mark all the spots. Boats that are moving fast do not want to be in that area. The boat launching ramp is still good, no problems on the launch.
