Spring fishing is still on! spawn hunger is lingering and the fish are still biting. Spotted Bass are the most regularly caught fish. Plastic worms and creatures seem to be producing the best results. Bakersfield Bass Club came out for a tournament on May 10th and the vast majority of fish caught were spotted bass in the 1 to 3 pound range. White Bass are also doing well with most action seen in Las Tablas, top water lures, small spoons and crank baits are producing best results.

Spotted Bass and White Bass continue to go strong! Spotted Bass are being caught near rocky shorelines, plastic worms, Rooster Tails, and Rat L Traps are working best. White Bass are congregating and boiling in Las Tablas Cove, use top water lures like Poppers, or smaller spoons like Rooster Tails. Spotted Bass and White Base are still going strong. White Bass has become one of the most caught fish, with boils happening periodically in the middle of large coves like Las Tablas. When fishing for Whites or Spots, use top water lures, to medium depth lures. Top water Poppers, Rooster Tails and spoons produce best results.
