The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours during April will be being 06:30AM to 07:00PM and boats need to be off the water by 06:00PM. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available. The Cafe is also open 6 days of the week from 09:00AM - 03:00PM so visitors can get some delicious food. The Main Rec is holding a monthly trout derby. The largest three trout weight in the Main Rec get prices.

The water temp has been around 63 degrees and the water elevation is at 295.5 ft. There is about 2 feet water clarity. The weather out here is still in the 70's with a light breeze to keep you cool. Trout are being caught from the shoreline near the Main Recreation Area the Pines. Boaters have been having the best luck at the Round Top, Sandy Point, and Scow Canyon. Power-Bait for the Trout such as Chartreuse, Rainbow and Garlic have been working as well. Night Crawlers still seem to be a hot bait of choice. Trolling is starting is pick up. A couple of good sized trout have been brought in trolling. The Broken-Back Fire-Tiger Rapala, Mepps, and Kastmasters are being used to catch trout on the troll.


Bass are starting to bite on spinner baits, crank baits and roboworms. The main rec and Scow Canyon being the better spots.

The water temp has been around 62 degrees and the water elevation has risen to 295ft. There is about 2.5 feet water clarity. Light rain has not slowed down the trout bite. Trout are being caught from the shoreline near the Main Recreation Area the Pines. Boaters have been having the best luck at Rock Wall, Farrells Landing, Sandy Point, and Scow Canyon.
