FISH PLANTS
Mt. Lassen Trout delivered 600 lbs to the South shore pond and 600 lbs to the North shore ramp on Monday, December 3rd.
FISHING REPORT
Now that the lake has turned over fish should be found in the top 15+/- feet of water whether fishing from the bank or by boat. Power baits in rainbow and chartreuse are most commonly used as well as choice lures and night crawlers. Planter fish tend to stay near the shorelines while holdover fish (from last year) are in the main part of the lake.
This week we had Keith Darkter of Diamond Springs stop by with a 21" trout (no weigh recorded) caught over by the Narrows using a Darterhead and a worm. We also had Jess Mattson of El Dorado Hills catch a 9.05lb trout measuring 29" long in Houseboat Cove using a broken back rapala.
Dick Anderson from Valley Springs also came by and caught a 5.13 lb trout our of the trout pond using a fly rod jigger.
