Pleasant temperatures forecast in the mid to high 80s and low 90's again this report for this weekend and beyond.

The water level rose another foot this week and is currently 3 feet below spill. Visibility remains good, presently good to 14 feet plus at the Marina. Water temperatures have also increased a bit and are currently 68 degrees at the 20 foot mark and the same at surface.

The most successful areas for Trollers remain unchanged since last report. Some boats were visible on the Lake this morning working the body of the Lake between the Mouth and the face of the Dam and in front of the Rock Wall while others are working upstream around Twin Coves, Deer Island and Columbia Gulch. The Trout and Kokanee remain at the 30 to 60 foot levels lately. Trout fishing has been very good lately in the main body of the Lake using Thomas spoons (red and rainbow) behind a dodger or not at 25 to 35 feet.

Kokanee aren't congregating in any one spot but are moving around in the body of the Lake. Hot lures for Kokanee are still Uncle Larry's glow pink fire tiger, copper popsicles and desert fire lures, all tipped with corn behind a medium silver/blue or watermelon Sep's or Lance's dodger.

The Bass are still turning up in and around the coves in the extreme south end of the Lake throughout the week. Lots of smallies in the 2 to 4 pound range mixed in with some largemouth turning up in this area, anglers are most successful using hot shot and swim baits. Catfish are also turning up in the coves at extreme south end of the Lake; chicken livers are the best so far.

Recent success stories: Dave and Bonnie Robinson pictured above from Modesto got these great trout trolling the Main Lake using night crawlers. Congratulations-well done you two!

There were a few bank fishermen in the Recreation Area this morning. Rainbow Point the shore behind the EBMUD boathouse the launch ramp and Porcupine Point are where the majority of anglers are this morning. Garlic flavored Power bait and eggs in yellow and chartreuse remain the most successful bait along with the Pistol Pete fly at the end of a 4ft leader behind a water bobber. Watch for bank fishing to improve this weekend with the scheduled plant.

Pardee Lake Recreation has planted a total of 27,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout in combination with the Department of Fish and Game plants of 5,000 for a grand total of 32,000 lbs., with another plant scheduled for this week.
