Pardee Reservoir will see cooler temperatures in the mid to high 70's gradually increasing to the low 80's by weeks end.

The water level has stabilized and is approximately 2-3 feet below spill. EBMUD continues to release water to Camanche Reservoir and Lake Amador. Visibility is excellent, presently good to 20 feet at the Marina. Water temperatures have also remained the same as last report and are currently 64 degrees at the 20 foot mark and the same at surface.

The most successful areas for boaters have not changed according to reports from the Marina. Some boats were visible on the Lake this morning working the body of the Lake between the Mouth and the face of the Dam and in front of the Rock Wall while others are working upstream around Twin Coves, Deer Island and Columbia Gulch.

Trout and Kokanee remain at the 30 to 60 foot levels lately. They aren't congregating in any one spot but are moving around in the body of the Lake. Hot lures are still Uncle Larry's glow pink fire tiger, copper popsicles and desert fire lures, all tipped with corn behind a medium silver/blue or watermelon Sep's dodger. These have all been very successful combos for Kokanee and Trout.

Bass fishing continues to be good in and around the coves in the extreme south end of the Lake throughout the week. Lots of smallies in the 2 to 4 pound range mixed in with some largemouth turning up in this area, anglers are most successful using hot shot and swim baits. No word on any catfish catches as yet the extreme south end coves deserve a look.

Bank fishing has improved with the last two plants, last week and this morning. Rainbow Point the shore behind the EBMUD boathouse the launch ramp and Porcupine Point are were the majority of activity is this morning. Garlic flavored Power bait and eggs in yellow and chartreuse remain the most successful bait along with the Pistol Pete fly at the end of a 4 ft leader behind a water bobber.

The Kids Derby was a great success, thanks to all the participants, sponsors, volunteers, management and staff that helped makes this annual event possible.

Pardee Lake Recreation planted again this morning for a total of 27,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout in combination with the Department of Fish and Game plants of 5,000 for a grand total of 28,000 lbs., look for another this morning.
