Great weather forecast for the Pardee Lake Annual Kids Fishing Derby taking place tomorrow Saturday June 16th starting at 9 AM. See the website for further details www.pardeelakerecreation.com.

The water level has stabilized and is approximately 2-3 feet below spill. EBMUD continues to release water to Camanche Reservoir and Lake Amador. Visibility is excellent, presently good to 20 feet at the Marina. Water temperatures have also remained the same as last report and are currently 64 degrees at the 20 foot mark and the same at surface.

The most successful areas on the Lake are basically unchanged since last report. Some boats were visible on the Lake this morning working the body of the Lake between the Mouth and the face of the Dam and in front of the Rock Wall while others are working upstream around Twin Coves, Deer Island and Columbia Gulch. The Trout and Kokanee remain at the 30 to 60 foot levels lately. They aren't congregating in any one spot but are moving around in the body of the Lake. Hot lures are still Uncle Larry's glow pink fire tiger, copper popsicles and desert fire lures, all tipped with corn behind a medium silver/blue or watermelon Sep's dodger. These have all been very successful combos for Kokanee and Trout. No word if Apex and hoochies have been working lately.

The Marina reports some good Bass fishing in and around the coves in the extreme south end of the Lake throughout the week. Lots of smallies in the 2 to 4 pound range mixed in with some largemouth turning up in this area, anglers are most successful using hot shot and swim baits.

Bank fishing will improve shortly after the plant scheduled for this morning. Rainbow Point the shore behind the EBMUD boathouse the launch ramp and Porcupine Point were the most populated this morning. Not many on the shore this morning. Garlic flavored Power bait and eggs in yellow and chartreuse remain the most successful bait along with the Pistol Pete fly at the end of a 4ft leader behind a water bobber.

Pardee Lake Recreation has planted a total of 23,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout in combination with the Department of Fish and Game plants of 5,000 for a grand total of 28,000 lbs., look for another this morning.
