The weather is ideal, spring conditions, warm temperatures, lots of water and good fishing.

Lake level has remained at approximately 3 feet below spill, same as last report. EBMUD continues to generate and release water to fill Camanche Reservoir. Visibility has improved and is good to 15 feet as measured in the Marina. Water temperatures will warm with the current conditions and are currently 54 degrees at the 20 foot mark and 58 at surface.

Trollers on the Lake have been concentrating upriver near Twin Coves, Deer Island and Columbia Gulch. Fishing has been good in those areas during the week. The Trout and Kokanee remain close to the surface at this time; keep your equipment in the 10 to 25 feet level. Uncle Larry's glow pink fire tiger tipped with corn behind a medium dodger continues to be the most successful combo for Kokanee. Trout have also been active upriver hitting the Uncle Larry's lures with shoe peg corn or other lures with night crawlers. I saw a fair amount of boats on the water this morning, most working the Mouth or heading upstream.

Lots of bank fishermen in the Recreation Area this morning.

Rainbow Point the shore behind the EBMUD boathouse the launch ramp and Porcupine Point were the most populated and I did see quite a few folks over on Stony Point Landing. Bank fishing has been decent throughout the week. Garlic flavored Power bait and eggs in yellow and chartreuse remain the most successful bait along with the Pistol Pete fly at the end of a 4ft leader behind a water bobber.

Recent success stories: Brad Jones of Alameda landed an 11.82 pound Largemouth Bass near the Rec Area spillway. Unfortunately we didn't get a picture but he released it at the Marina after weigh in. Congratulations Brad-well done!!!

Pardee Lake Recreation has planted 16,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout in combination with the Department of Fish and Game plants of 5,000 for a grand total of 21,000 lbs.
