Lake Level: The lake is 55% full & the water temperature is 59'F degrees. Weekly Weather: Showers expected mid-week then mostly sunny with highs in the low 60's to low 70's and lows in the mid 40's to low 50's.
Fish Plants: On Monday, April 2nd, Mt. Lassen Trout delivered 600 lbs to the South shore pond & 1200 lbs to the South shore ramp. Lake News: Yolo County Law Enforcement is having their annual trout derby at North shore on April 14th. Flyers & registration info are available at both gate houses/stores or call us and we can email it to you!
Whopper mugs are in! Whopper mugs are available to anglers bringing in a fish weighing 5lbs or more to either marina store for a pic & weigh in. So next time you catch that "big one" make sure you stop by and get it weighed first!
Trout Report: Fishing has been good this week! We had Wayne & Cash Myrick of Acampo catch 2 fine trout off the North shore day use area using power eggs. We also had Clayton & Kevin Robbins of Woodbridge catch a nice stringer weighing in at 9.55 lbs with their largest fish weighing in at 3.55 lbs. They caught them over by the North shore marina cove point using powerbait. Then Evan & Brian Johnston of Sacramento catch a nice 11.67 lb stringer with their largest fish weighing in at 4.88 lbs. They were fishing off the North shore East Cove point using green powerbait. On 04/02/12 we had Jim Bell & Dan T of Shingle Springs catch a few nice fish with their 2 largest weighing in at 7.04 lbs and 7.00 lbs. They were fishing over by Hat Island using a worm. On 04/03/12 we had regulars Steve & Virginia Bickham of Ione catch a nice stringer with their 2 largest weighing in at 5.88 lbs & 3.88 lbs. They were fishing on the main lake using powerbait. On 04/04/12 we had Nathan Mitchell of Sacramento catch these 3 fish with his largest weighing in at 5.86 lbs. He was bank fishing by the South shore marina using garlic powerbait. On 03/29/12 Robert Bernard of Merced caught 3 trout, the largest weighing in at 5.95 lbs using lures out by the dam. On 04/01/12 Andrew Quintal caught his limit from the trout pond with is largest weighing in at 9.51lbs while using lures. On 04/03/12 George Bocobo & Seth Mohr caught two trout weighing 8.32lbs and 7.75 lbs also from the trout pond using power worms. On 04/05/12 we had Dave Jans of Sacramento catch 3 trout with his largest weighing 7lbs while fishing by Hat Island using grubs.
