Lake San Antonio - Bradley, CA

by Will Hesch

Lake San Antonio is kicking out some great large and smallmouth bass. Both species are shallow and either pre-spawn, spawning or guarding nests. Smallmouths are hitting drop-shot rigs thrown into their nests but good fish are also being caught on spinnerbaits and rip-baits. The largemouths are hitting the same baits but larger jigs and creature baits will often work better on them. Crappie are hitting small jigs near wood and brush while the stripers action is quiet.
